"I am a 42-year-old professional acrobat with considerable training in dance and gymnastics and a generally high fitness level. I have thoroughly enjoyed using Stretching & Flexibility by Kit Laughlin and recommend it to everybody who is interested in improving their general mobility and condition, whether for professional athletics or everyday activities. I find the exercises proposed extremely simple to follow, which is always motivational, yet they still provide detailed anatomical and scientific explanations to enable better development and understanding of body awareness. I have on many occasions relaxed and realigned tight problem zones, particularly in the shoulders and lower lumber regions by using gentle applications of the recommended "daily five" exercises.

My wife, who has very little exercise experience, also gained great comfort and relaxation from following a simplified and gentle program of stretching during her pregnancy.

By gaining a better understanding of how my muscles work and by using the C-R methods suggested in the book, I have noticed a particularly significant increase in my back flexibility, which is gradually returning to the kind of flexibility I once experienced in my twenties. The book has given me the confidence and knowledge to push myself further than I thought possible as an ageing athlete. I find my muscles recover quicker from the occasional aches and tiredness, of which the occurrences have dramatically decreased anyway.

In all, it's a great read, very motivational and a must for anyone interested in physical self-improvement."
